Make Ahead Burger Sliders - White Castle Copy Cat

Updated: Apr 10, 2023

It's getting closer to Christmas and we've been into all sorts of shennanigans already. We attended Sushi with Santa, hosted a small gathering, attended school's Polar Express literacy night and went to a local Christmas Village event... all in just the first 2 weeks of December. I hope you're having just as much fun with your local events this year.

With all the crazy going on this time of year I like to keep quick meals in my freezer that we can grab and go. I even started keeping a magnetic white board on the side of my fridge with a running list of what is in the freezer and I put a ton of both things that were on sale at the store and homemade leftovers in there. Tamales, Burritos, Pulled Pork, Chicken Fingers, Diced Cooked Chicken, Popcorn Shrimp and a bunch of other options. My larger chest freezer is one of my favorite things in the house. Today's recipe is one of the items I always keep in stock for those grab and go meals. In just about a minute I can have these heated, add a pickle and ketchup, then walk out the door.

Ingredients:

•12 pack dinner rolls

•1 lb. ground beef

•1 tsp seasoned salt

•1 tsp dehydrated onion flakes

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 400°

In a 9x13 baking dish press the beef to fill the entire pan

Sprinkle seasoned salt and onion evenly

Bake for approximately 25 minutes

Slice rolls through the middle for your slider

Place cooked beef over bottom of buns

Slice along perforations

To serve later:

Place 2 sliders each in sandwich bags.

Place all bagged sandwiches into a freezer safe bag

Reheat by wrapping sliders in a paper towel

Microwave for 30 seconds

Flip sandwiches and microwave additional 30 seconds

I eat these all the time. Actually, I used to purchase White Castle frozen sliders but would be so annoyed at how much they cost. Making these are a lot more budget friendly, especially if the dinner rolls or beef is on sale at your local market.
