Copycat Big Mac Sauce

I have to say the last few weeks have been full and busy for our family. Even this coming weekend my daughter has two different birthday parties to attend and Easter is just around the corner. I hope you all plan to have some fun for the holiday. My family will be attending church, as we do every Sunday, in worship. We also still have a child young enough to look for the Easter Bunny so there will be eggs filled with treats covering our yard to find before we head out.

I would like to take a moment and encourage you to find a local place of worship if you don't have one. If you are in the upstate South Carolina area you are always welcome to join us at Mount Moriah Baptist Church on Hwy 81. We would love to have you any week of the year.

I don't know if you all have ever noticed but most photos of myself that I post have different glasses in each one. I promise that I do not actually have 50 pairs of glasses BUT I do have magnetic glasses and a bunch of toppers I can change out from Pair Eyewear. This past week they did Pair Spirit Week. It was so fun finding different outfits, toppers and hats to pull together certain looks. If you are interested in checking them out I highly recommend. (As always, I have no affiliation but just share brands and products that I love.) http://rwrd.io/a2rplq8?c

*** toppers pictured below are Peacock, Red Sparkle, Cheetah Spots & Emerald Crystal

For our recipe this week I must admit it isn't all that healthy. This is just a copycat recipe that I pulled together from looking at about 20 different versions online and trying to figure it out. My husband continually complains that Big Mac sauce is not sold in stores and that McDonald's needs to bring back the Mac Jr because the ratio of burger to bun is so much better. The constant wish for making smaller versions of the Big Mac at home has finally driven me to put this sauce together.

If the amounts or ingredients don't work for you I highly encourage you to play with the ingredients or look online for other copycat recipes. Seriously, I was lost in "THIS IS THE ONE" type recipes for ages but the ratios in this seem to be the most common and closest to the real thing.

1/2 cup mayo

2 tbsp creamy french

4 tsp sweet relish

1 tbsp finely minced onion

1 tsp white vinegar

1 tsp granulated sugar

1/8 tsp salt

Combine all ingredients and stir well.

Microwave 15 seconds and stir again. This does actually help it come together smoother.

Refrigerate overnight or for several hours.

If you have time it doesn't hurt give an extra stir once in a while during the refrigeration hours.

This recipe makes 3/4 cup and comes to 75 calories for a tablespoon.... so definitely not my usual healthier version. Maybe one day I'll figure out how to lighten it up for you. Sauce will keep in the fridge for a week.

Please be sure to share with your friends and invite others to follow me for more recipes. If you try out this recipe let me know how close I came to the real deal and I hope you have a wonderful day!
